Anti-Ageing Superfood Salad

This week I am sharing an Anti-Ageing Superfood Salad Recipe to continue the theme from the last couple of weeks. Slowing down ageing can be done by what you eat and especially what you absorb. The more toxins you have, the higher the free radical damage, so the key is to make sure you are boosting your health with antioxidants each day.

Foods to Avoid

Eating foods high in sugar, refined carbohydrates, hormone-laden animal protein and dairy, and excessive alcohol all cause huge blood sugar fluctuations and can easily upset your toxic load.

Such disruptions can lead to the onset of fatigue, weight gain, wrinkles, grey hair and an overall feeling of being flat both mentally and physically.  Best to eat clean & drink 2-3L of water each day and have one day a  week with a free meal and a little alcohol if desired. 

Superfoods to Support Longevity & Anti-Ageing

Eating more superfoods such as green leafy vegetables, beetroot, walnuts, pumpkin, sauerkraut, seaweed, flax seeds, and avocado can help you find your Va Va Voom.

I include these salad ingredients for myself and my three children as they help balance your immune system and support a healthy gut and mind-body balance. Great for the whole family to keep everyone mentally and physically strong!

I love this anti-ageing superfood salad, and I eat it regularly. It is important to adopt this lifestyle instead of just trying to avoid pain or symptoms as they arise with various.

Anti-Ageing Superfood Salad Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • Slice or grate one beetroot
  • One handful of walnuts 
  • 2 cups of baby spinach, watercress & rocket
  • 1 tbsp of flaxseeds 
  • 2 tbsp of seaweed flakes 
  • 1 tbsp of green pumpkin seeds 
  • 2 tbsp kimchi or sauerkraut I love the beetroot one)
  • One avocado 
  • One sliced small apple
  • ½ Spanish onion 
  • One cucumber sliced 
  • 2 tbsp pomegranates 

Place all ingredients into a salad bowl & set the apple aside to garnish each salad after dressing 

Vinaigrette Ingredients

  • Three tablespoons of olive oil
  • Two tablespoons of lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon fresh or dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon unprocessed sea salt
  • One teaspoon of dijon mustard
  • One crushed garlic clove
  • Cracked black pepper to taste
  • Cayenne pepper to tatse 

Place into a jam jar, shake & pour over the anti-ageing superfood salad before serving – enjoy!
