With many being time-poor when it comes to dinners, I love to prepare healthy Mezze plates. I had a friend come over this week, and we simply had a mezze plate for dinner. It was delicious, and I woke up energized the next day.
In my mezze selection, I had regular and beetroot hummus, olives, crudites, halloumi, sun-dried tomatoes and a new addition I just conceived with smoked salmon, cream cheese, caviar and chives on 100% seed gluten-free crackers instead of mini pancakes or water crackers.
This simple swap keeps this canape low GI and doesn’t put any stress on your digestive system.
A very simple addition to my mezze that was a real hit!
Simply place 100% seed crackers on a plate, add 1 tsp of cream cheese or a vegan similar product, add smoked salmon & garnish with caviar, chives & black pepper.
You may ask how you can have a mezze plate for dinner when I recommend nothing raw after 4 pm. You can easily sip herbal tea or soup on the side of this meal to support your digestive system.
