Bella’s Extra-Nourishing Smoothie Bowl

This week I’ve got a smoothie bowl recipe for you. As part of our Rejuv Good Habits Guide this week, we support your Movement and Body Balance Wellness Pillars.

I love to ‘mix it up’ when it comes to exercise, as suggested many years ago by my dear friend and WelleCo. partner Elle Macpherson. If that works for ‘The Body’, I’m going to give it a try, and it helps sustain the movement and keep it fun.

Since we embrace movement as a family after our early morning beach walk the other day, my daughter Isabella came home and made us all of these smoothie bowls. No help from me at all; Bella just invented this recipe.

My kids have all grown up using the products I formulated for WelleCo, and I often find vanilla and chocolate protein powder all over my kitchen benchtops (especially when they have play days). They invent all sorts of smoothies for their friends too.

If you embrace intermittent fasting, this is a great way to break your fast; if you exercise, it’s a great post-workout & you can blitz and drink if you’re in a hurry; if you get sugar cravings in the afternoon, this is a great way to balance blood sugar levels to finish the day strong or if you feel like a no-fuss meal you can have this any time of the day. A fantastic versatile snack or meal however your day is going.

There is something extra-nourishing when you prepare a meal that looks so beautiful. It nourishes your mind, body and soul!

Watch this space for more recipes made by my daughter Isabella, who also shares the same birthday as her ‘Soul Sister’ Elle Macpherson.
